In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the impending construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
Once the new venue is finished, the festival's main shows will no longer take place at the current Nissan Stadium where they have been held for many years.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the newly built stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence this year, and the stadium is expected to be ready for use by 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current one. It will be a closed facility that focuses on providing an enhanced fan experience. It will offer beautiful views of Nashville, have a roof that allows natural light to pass through, and also include a community space spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is an incredible event for country music fans. It first took place in 1972 at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium with just 5,000 attendees. Over the years, it has transformed into one of the largest annual gatherings in country music, attracting tens of thousands of fans from around the world. The festival features over 250 performances by various artists on nine different stages in Music City.
