In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being the venue for the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue where the shows will take place once it is finished.
According to the Country Music Association, their future plans involve collaborating with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music enthusiasts in Nashville for the nightly concerts that will take place in the recently constructed stadium.
The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, situated along the banks of the Cumberland River. The construction of the stadium is planned to commence this year, and it is expected to be completed and ready for use by 2027.
Fans of country music can still use the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville.
In contrast to the Titans' current residence, the upcoming stadium will be a closed structure specifically designed to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, feature a see-through roof, and include a spacious community area spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is an incredible event for country music fans, known as the "Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience." It was first established in 1972, originally called Fan Fair. Starting with just 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, it has grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. Every year, Music City attracts tens of thousands of guests from around the world who come together to enjoy over 250 performances by various artists on nine different stages.
