The Future of CMA Fest: How the New Nissan Stadium Will Change the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience

  • by

In a few years, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. The current format and experience of the festival will no longer exist.

After hosting the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will no longer be the venue for these shows once the new venue is finished.

According to the Country Music Association, they intend to maintain their collaboration with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music enthusiasts in Nashville for the evening performances at the newly constructed stadium.

A brand new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence this year, and it is expected to be ready for opening in 2027.

Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium, unlike the current one the Titans play in, will be an indoor facility designed specifically to enhance the fan experience. It will offer stunning views of Nashville, have a see-through roof, and provide a generous 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, is a highly anticipated event for country music fans. It originated in 1972 with a small gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest country music events, attracting tens of thousands of guests from around the world. With over 250 acts performing on nine stages, it truly offers the ultimate country music fan experience.
