In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
Once the new venue is finished, the festival's main shows will no longer take place at the current Nissan Stadium, which has been their home for many years.
According to the Country Music Association, they have intentions to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited to invite country music enthusiasts to Nashville for the evening concerts at the newly constructed stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to start in the present year and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still use the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville.
The upcoming stadium for the Titans will be an indoor facility designed specifically to enhance the fan experience. It will offer beautiful views of Nashville, feature a see-through roof, and have a large community area spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is a remarkable event for country music enthusiasts. It first took place in 1972 at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, attracting 5,000 fans. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest country music gatherings, with attendees from around the world. In Music City, tens of thousands of guests come together annually to enjoy performances by over 250 artists spread across nine different stages.
