In the near future, there will be significant changes to CMA Fest due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After hosting the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue where the shows will take place once it is finished.
According to the Country Music Association, they have ongoing plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are eagerly anticipating the arrival of country music fans in Nashville for the evening performances at the newly built stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, situated just east of the existing Nissan Stadium. The construction is planned to commence in the present year and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be a closed facility that is specifically designed to provide an enhanced fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, have a roof made of translucent material, and include a community space of 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, also known as Fan Fair, is an incredible experience for country music fans. It originated in 1972 with a small gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual events in country music, attracting tens of thousands of guests from around the world. This festival showcases over 250 acts performing on nine different stages, making it a must-see event in Music City.
