The future of CMA Fest is set to change due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being the venue for the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will no longer host them once the new venue is finished.
The Country Music Association informs Taste of Country that they have ongoing plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the newly built stadium.
The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to commence in the current year, and the stadium is projected to be ready for operation by 2027.
Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new venue for the Titans will be completely different from their current home. It will be an enclosed facility that is specifically designed to provide an enhanced fan experience. It will offer breathtaking panoramic views of Nashville, have a roof made of translucent material, and include a spacious 12,000 square feet area for community use throughout the year.
CMA Fest is an incredible event for country music fans, known as the "Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience." It was first established in 1972 under the name Fan Fair. Initially, only 5,000 fans gathered at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, but over time it has grown into one of the largest annual events in the country music industry. Every year, tens of thousands of people from all over the world come together in Music City to enjoy performances from over 250 artists on nine different stages.
The upcoming CMA Fest in 2024 will take place from June 6th to June 9th
