In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being hosted at Nissan Stadium for many years, the festival's main shows will be relocated to the new venue once its construction is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during the CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music enthusiasts in Nashville for the nightly concerts that will take place in the newly constructed stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence this year, and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music will continue to have access to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville through the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new location for the Titans will be a completely enclosed space that is specifically designed to provide an enhanced experience for fans. It will offer stunning panoramic views of Nashville, have a roof that allows natural light to shine through, and feature a generous 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, has been the ultimate experience for country music fans since 1972. Starting with just 5,000 attendees at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, it has now grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. Thousands of people from around the world come together in Music City to witness over 250 performances by various artists on nine different stages.
