In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
Once the new venue is finished, the festival's main shows will no longer take place in the current Nissan Stadium, where they have been held for many years.
The Country Music Association has stated that they have ongoing plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.
The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, which is located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to start in the present year and the stadium is projected to be open to the public by 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
In contrast to the Titans' present stadium, the upcoming venue will be an enclosed space designed specifically to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, feature a see-through roof, and include a generous 12,000 square feet of community area that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is an unparalleled experience for country music fans that originated in 1972 under the name Fan Fair. What initially commenced as a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium has now evolved into one of the largest annual events in country music.
