In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After hosting the festival's main performances for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue where the shows will take place once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to maintain their collaboration with the Tennessee Titans on an annual basis during the CMA Fest. They are excited about the prospect of hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the newly built stadium.
The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed to the east of the existing Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence this year, and the stadium is expected to be ready for use by 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new location for the Titans will be a completely enclosed facility that is specifically designed to provide fans with an enhanced experience. It will offer panoramic views of Nashville, a roof made of translucent material, and a generous 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, also known as Fan Fair, is the ultimate experience for country music fans. It first started in 1972 with just 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual events in country music, attracting tens of thousands of guests from around the world. This festival offers the opportunity to see over 250 acts performing on nine different stages in Music City.
