In the near future, CMA Fest is set to undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being the venue for the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue, where the shows will take place once it is finished.
The Country Music Association stated that they plan to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest and are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the concerts at the new stadium.
A brand-new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction of the stadium is planned to commence in the present year, and it is expected to be ready for use by 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
In contrast to the Titans' existing stadium, the new venue will be an indoor facility designed exclusively to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, have a roof made of translucent material, and feature a spacious community area spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, is considered the ultimate experience for country music fans. It originated in 1972 with just 5,000 fans attending at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, but has now grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. Each year, tens of thousands of attendees from around the world come together in Music City to enjoy performances from over 250 artists on nine different stages.
