The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect in the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

CMA Fest is set to undergo significant changes in the upcoming years due to the announcement of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. As a result, the event as we currently know it will no longer be the same.

After being the host of the festival's main performances for a number of years, the current Nissan Stadium will no longer be the venue for these shows once the new venue is finished.

According to the Country Music Association, they have plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the concerts that will take place in the newly built stadium.

A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to commence this year, and the stadium is projected to be ready for public use by 2027.

Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current home. It will be a closed facility that is specifically designed to provide fans with an exceptional experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community space of 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, is an extraordinary event for country music enthusiasts. It originated in 1972 with a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, but has since evolved into one of the largest annual events in country music. Every year, Music City attracts tens of thousands of visitors from around the world who come together to experience over 250 performances by various artists on nine distinct stages.

The CMA Fest 2024 will take place from June 6-9 in the heart of Nashville.
