In the near future, CMA Fest is expected to undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being held at the current Nissan Stadium for many years, the festival's main performances will be relocated to the newly constructed venue once it is finished.
According to the Country Music Association, they have plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the recently built stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located just east of the current Nissan Stadium. The construction is expected to start in the current year and the stadium is anticipated to open in 2027.
Fans who enjoy country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The upcoming venue for the Titans will be a closed facility specifically designed to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a spacious community area spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, is an incredible event for fans of country music. It originated in 1972 with a small gathering of 5,000 fans at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest and most significant annual events in country music. Every year, Music City becomes the gathering place for tens of thousands of fans from all over the world who come together to enjoy performances from over 250 artists on nine different stages.
