In Los Angeles, California, a woman went to great lengths to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18th, an incident occurred outside of a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, who was walking her dog, and forcefully took the pet from her.
The woman transported the dog, known as Onyx, to a white vehicle being operated by another individual.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. Without hesitation, he leaped onto the front of the car and tightly held on as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted to CBS News that when faced with the situation, he made the decision to not release his grip on the car and instead held onto the windshield wipers. His fear escalated as they continued driving down the street, accelerating in speed, and he found himself panicking for his life.
A viral video of the event has also surfaced, capturing Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News via a TikTok video, explaining that when he tugged on the leash, she initially thought he just wanted to go sniff something, so she let go. However, she soon noticed that a woman had taken hold of him and was walking away. Determined to retrieve her dog, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and adamantly stated that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. The individuals in the car then drove towards her, intentionally colliding with her until she fell onto the hood. Undeterred, she remained on the hood, declaring that she wouldn't leave until they returned her dog. Eventually, they drove away with her dog still in their possession.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her cute dog was unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car abruptly changed direction and caused her to fall off, resulting in only minor injuries. However, Onyx, her dog, is still nowhere to be found.
"No matter what I'm doing, it makes me feel unhappy that I can't do it with Onyx or that he's not able to experience it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I realize that I'm not buying anything for him. It's surprising how quickly time has passed. It feels like this situation just occurred, but it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, as reported by CBS. This investigation involves the examination of security footage.
