In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place in front of a Whole Foods supermarket where a lady approached Ali Zacharias, who was with her dog, and abruptly took the pet away.
The woman transported the dog, whose name was Onyx, to a white car that was being operated by another individual.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the front of the car and held on tightly as it raced through a bustling street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted to CBS News that he had a firm grip on the windshield wipers and was determined not to release his hold on the car. As they started driving down the street, their speed increased, causing Zacharias to panic and fear for his life.
There is a widely shared video capturing the incident, where Zacharias can be seen gripping onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News in a TikTok video, explaining that when the man pulled the leash, she assumed he wanted to let their dog sniff something, so she released her grip. However, to her surprise, a woman grabbed hold of the dog and began walking away with him. In an attempt to stop them, Zacharias positioned herself in front of their car and firmly told them that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. Instead of complying, the individuals began driving towards her, eventually hitting her and causing her to land on the hood of their car. Despite the impact, Zacharias remained determined and declared that she wouldn't leave until they returned her dog. Despite her efforts, they drove away with her dog.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her beloved puppy was unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance, but the car suddenly veered and caused her to be thrown off, resulting in minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Unfortunately, Onyx is still not found.
"No matter what I'm doing, I feel a sense of sadness because I am not doing it with Onyx or because he is missing out. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. It's astonishing how quickly time has passed. It feels like this situation just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, who are actively looking into it and examining security footage.
