In Los Angeles, California, a brave woman went to great lengths to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident occurred outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, who was walking her dog, and forcefully took the pet away from her.
The woman carried a dog named Onyx to a white car that was being driven by another person.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. Without hesitation, she leaped onto the front of the car and held on tightly as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted his experience, stating that he was determined not to release his grip on the windshield wipers of the car. As they continued driving down the street, their speed increased, and he found himself becoming increasingly terrified for his life.
A viral video of the event has emerged, depicting Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
According to Zacharias, when he tugged on the leash, she assumed he just wanted to go sniff something, so she let go. However, she then noticed that a woman had grabbed hold of him and was walking away. Zacharias then positioned herself in front of the car and insisted that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. Instead of stopping, the individuals driving the car continued to drive towards her, causing her to end up on the hood of their vehicle. Even in this situation, Zacharias refused to give up and declared that she wouldn't leave until they returned her dog. Eventually, they drove away, leaving her hanging onto the car. This incident was documented in a TikTok video shared by Zacharias to NBC News.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her cute dog were unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car suddenly changed direction, causing her to be thrown off and sustain minor injuries. Unfortunately, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I do something because I wish I was doing it with Onyx or that he was able to experience it too. Even something as simple as grocery shopping makes me realize that I'm not buying anything for him. It's surprising how fast time has passed, it feels like this just happened. And yet, it's already been 10 days," she expressed her feelings.
The Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in an active investigation into the crime, which involves the examination of security footage, as reported by CBS.
