In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car to rescue her beloved French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, there was an incident that took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket. During this incident, a woman came up to Ali Zacharias, who was accompanied by her dog, and took the dog
The woman picked up Onyx, her dog, and walked towards a white car where another person was waiting to drive.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to stop the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced down a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias explained to CBS News that he refused to release his grip on the car's windshield wipers, determined to not let go. As the car started moving down the street and accelerating, he found himself in a state of panic and fear for his safety.
Footage capturing the incident has also become widely popular, displaying Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News through a TikTok video, where she described how she initially thought her dog just wanted to go smell something when he pulled the leash, so she let go. However, she soon realized that a woman had grabbed her dog and was walking away with him. Determined not to let her dog be taken, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and insisted that they couldn't leave as they had her dog. The individuals in the car proceeded to drive towards her, even hitting her until she fell onto the hood. Despite being on the car's hood, Zacharias refused to give up and continued to demand the return of her dog. Eventually, the car drove off, leaving her in distress.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her lovable dog ended without success. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car suddenly changed direction and caused her to fall off, resulting in only minor injuries such as cuts and bruises. However, Onyx, her dog, is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness no matter what I am doing because I wish I was doing it with Onyx or that he was not missing out. For example, even when I am grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I am not buying anything for him. It's surprising how quickly time has passed. It feels like this situation just occurred, and yet it has already been 10 days," she expressed.
As per CBS, the Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in an investigation into the crime, which involves the examination of security footage.
