In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place outside of a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, who was accompanied by her dog, and abruptly took the pet away.
The woman transported her dog, named Onyx, to a white car that was being operated by another individual.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced down a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the incident to CBS News, stating that he had a determined mindset of not allowing the car to escape. He desperately clung onto the windshield wipers as the vehicle accelerated and they swiftly traveled down the street, causing him to experience an overwhelming sense of fear for his life.
A video capturing the event has also gained widespread attention as it depicts Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
Zacharias shared her experience in a TikTok video, explaining what happened when her dog was taken. Initially, she thought her dog just wanted to sniff something, so she let go of the leash. However, to her surprise, a woman appeared and walked away with her dog. Determined to retrieve her dog, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and firmly stated that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. Instead of complying, the individuals in the car drove into her, causing her to fall onto the hood. Undeterred, she continued to assert that she wouldn't leave until her dog was returned. Despite her efforts, the car eventually drove away.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her cute dog were unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car suddenly changed direction, causing her to be thrown off and sustain minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Onyx, her dog, is still nowhere to be found.
"No matter what I'm doing, I can't help but feel sad that I'm not doing it with Onyx or that he's not experiencing it. For example, when I'm grocery shopping, I think about how I'm not buying anything for him. It feels like time has passed by so quickly. It feels like this just happened, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, who are actively looking into it and examining security footage.
