In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car after a thief stole her beloved French bulldog, demonstrating her determination to save her precious pet.
On January 18, an incident occurred in front of a Whole Foods supermarket where a lady approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and forcefully took the pet away from her.
The woman picked up the dog, whose name is Onyx, and then brought him to a white car that was being driven by another person.
Without hesitation, Zacharias decided to confront the thieves and prevent them from escaping with Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through the bustling streets of Los Angeles.

Zacharias stated to CBS News that he was determined to not release his grip on the windshield wipers of the car. He found himself in a situation where the car started moving down the street and accelerating, causing him to feel terrified for his safety.
There is also a viral video circulating that captures the incident, where Zacharias can be seen clinging onto the car's hood.
Zacharias shared her experience in a TikTok video where she described the events that unfolded. Initially, when her dog pulled on the leash, she assumed that he wanted to investigate something and thus, she let go. However, to her surprise, she noticed that a woman had grabbed her dog and was walking away with him. Determined to retrieve her beloved pet, she positioned herself in front of the car and firmly stated that the woman could not leave as she had her dog. Instead of complying, the individuals in the car drove towards her, causing her to fall onto the hood. Undeterred, she remained steadfast and declared that she would not leave until her dog was returned. Despite her efforts, the car drove away, leaving her in distress.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her cute dog was not successful. She managed to hold on for a short distance until the car suddenly changed direction, causing her to fall off and sustain minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Unfortunately, Onyx, her dog, is still missing.
"No matter what I'm doing, I feel a sense of sadness knowing that I'm not doing it with Onyx or that he's not experiencing it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. It's surprising how fast time has passed. It feels like this situation just occurred, and yet it has already been 10 days," she expressed.
As per CBS, the Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in investigating the crime and is also examining security footage as part of their investigation.
