Woman’s Brave Effort to Save Beloved Dog Leads to Dramatic Car Chase

  • by

In an act of bravery, a woman in Los Angeles, California resorted to extreme measures to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.

On January 18, an incident took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket, where a woman went up to Ali Zacharias, who was the owner of a dog, and forcefully took away her pet.

The woman picked up Onyx, the dog, and brought him to a white car that was being driven by another person.

Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined not to allow the criminals to escape after taking Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the front of the vehicle and held on tightly as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted that he was determined to not release his grip on the car and clung onto the windshield wipers. Without realizing it, the car started moving down the street, gradually gaining speed, causing Zacharias to become extremely frightened for his safety.

A video capturing the incident has also become widely popular, displaying Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.

In a TikTok video, Zacharias recounted a distressing incident in which she initially thought her dog wanted to sniff something and let go of the leash. However, she soon realized that a woman had taken hold of her dog and was walking away with him. Determined not to let her dog be taken, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and firmly stated that the woman could not leave with her dog. The car then began driving towards her, eventually causing her to fall onto the hood. Despite this, Zacharias remained adamant and declared that she would not leave without her dog. Eventually, the car drove off, leaving her still without her beloved pet.

Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save his cute dog proved to be unsuccessful. The dog owner managed to hold on for a short distance before the car suddenly changed direction, causing them to fall off. As a result, they suffered only minor injuries such as cuts and bruises. However, the dog, named Onyx, is still nowhere to be found.

"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in any activity, as I wish I could do them with Onyx or that he could be a part of it. For instance, when I go grocery shopping, I find myself thinking that I'm not buying anything for him. It's astonishing how quickly time has passed. It feels like this just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.

The crime is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department, who are actively looking into it and reviewing security footage as part of their efforts.
