In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident occurred outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a lady approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and suddenly took her pet away.
The woman picked up the dog, who goes by the name Onyx, and took him over to a white car where another person was waiting to drive.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to stop the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He leaped onto the front of the vehicle and held on tightly as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias explained to CBS News that he was determined to not release his grip on the car and held onto the windshield wipers. He soon realized that the car was moving down the street and gaining speed, causing him to panic for his safety.
There is also a widely shared video capturing the incident, which shows Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounts the incident in a TikTok video, where she explains that when the man pulled the leash, she initially thought he just wanted their dog to go and smell something, so she let go. However, when she looked up, she saw a woman holding their dog and walking away with him. Zacharias then positioned herself in front of the car, insisting that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. The individuals in the car proceeded to drive towards her, and continued to do so until she ended up falling onto the hood of their car. Despite this, she remained determined, stating that she would not leave until they returned her dog. Eventually, they drove away with her dog still in their possession.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her cute dog was unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance until the car abruptly changed direction, causing her to fall off and sustain minor injuries. Unfortunately, Onyx the dog is still not found.
No matter what I'm doing, I feel a sense of sadness because I'm not doing it with Onyx or because he's not able to experience it. For instance, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. It's surprising how fast time has flown by. It feels like this just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, as reported by CBS. This investigation involves the examination of security footage.
