In Los Angeles, California, a brave woman went to extreme lengths to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and abruptly took her pet away.
The woman lifted the dog, whose name is Onyx, and brought it to a white car that was being driven by another person.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He bravely climbed onto the front of the vehicle and held on tightly as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the experience to CBS News, explaining that he was determined not to release his grip on the windshield wipers of the car. However, he soon found himself being driven down the street at an increasing speed, causing him to become extremely frightened for his safety.
There is a widely circulated video that captures the incident, which shows Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
According to Zacharias' account in a TikTok video, when he tugged on the leash, she assumed he wanted to go smell something, so she released her grip. However, she then noticed a woman had taken hold of her dog and was walking away with him. In an attempt to prevent them from leaving, Zacharias positioned herself in front of their car and firmly stated that they could not go as they had her dog. Instead of stopping, they drove towards her, causing her to fall onto the hood of their vehicle. Even after falling, Zacharias refused to back down and declared that she would not leave until her dog was returned. Despite her protests, the individuals in the car continued to drive away.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her cute dog were unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car abruptly changed direction, causing her to fall off and sustain minor injuries. However, her dog Onyx is still lost and has not been found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I'm engaged in any activity because I wish Onyx was with me or not missing out. For example, while grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not purchasing anything for him. It's surprising how time has flown by so quickly. It feels like this situation occurred just recently, but it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
As reported by CBS, the Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in an ongoing investigation of the crime, which involves the examination of security footage.
