In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her beloved French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, a woman took a dog belonging to Ali Zacharias outside a Whole Foods supermarket.
The woman transported the dog named Onyx to a white car that was being operated by another person.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to apprehend the thieves who had stolen Onyx. Without hesitation, he leaped onto the car's hood and desperately held on as it raced through the bustling streets of Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the intense situation where he firmly decided not to release the car. He bravely clung onto the windshield wipers as the vehicle accelerated and they rapidly traveled down the street. The sudden turn of events caused Zacharias to panic and fear for his life. He shared this harrowing experience with CBS News.
A video capturing the event has gained significant attention online, as it depicts Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News in a TikTok video, explaining that when he tugged on the leash, she assumed he just wanted to go sniff something, so she let go. However, when she looked up, she noticed a woman had taken hold of him and was walking away. In an attempt to stop the woman from leaving with her dog, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and firmly stated that she could not leave because the dog belonged to her. Despite her efforts, the individuals in the car proceeded to drive towards her, eventually causing her to fall onto the hood of their vehicle. Even after falling, Zacharias refused to give up and continued to assert that she would not leave until her dog was returned to her. In the end, the individuals in the car drove away, taking her dog with them.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her beloved dog did not succeed. She managed to hold on for a short distance, but the car suddenly veered and caused her to be thrown off, resulting in minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Sadly, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in activities without Onyx, as if he's being left out. Even when I'm grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not purchasing anything for him. It's surprising how fast time has passed, as it feels like this situation just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department is currently under active review, with a focus on examining security footage, as reported by CBS.
