In Los Angeles, California, a woman displayed immense bravery by holding onto the hood of a moving car in order to protect her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident occurred outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and forcefully took the pet away from her.
The woman carried the dog, whose name was Onyx, to a white car that was being driven by another person.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted that he strongly refused to release his grip on the windshield wipers, determined to hold onto the car. Without realizing it, they started moving down the street, gaining speed, and he quickly became terrified for his life.
There is a viral video circulating online that captures the incident, where Zacharias can be seen gripping onto the car's hood.
"When I felt a tug on the leash, I assumed he just wanted to go sniff something, so I released it. I then noticed a woman holding him and walking away. I positioned myself in front of the car and told them, 'You can't leave. That's my dog.' They proceeded to drive towards me, eventually causing me to fall onto their hood. Even after falling, I remained adamant, stating, 'I'm not going anywhere until you return my dog.' Despite my plea, they drove away," Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News in a TikTok video where she can be seen clinging to the car.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save his cute puppy was not successful. He managed to hold on for a short distance, but then the car suddenly veered, causing him to be thrown off. As a result, he sustained only minor injuries such as cuts and bruises. However, his puppy Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in any activity, as I wish I could be doing it with Onyx or that he could be a part of it. Even something as simple as grocery shopping makes me realize that I'm not buying anything for him. It's surprising how fast time has passed, it feels like this just happened and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The Los Angeles Police Department is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the crime and is actively examining security footage as part of their efforts.
