A woman in Los Angeles, California bravely held onto the hood of a moving car to rescue her stolen French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident occurred outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, who was walking her dog, and forcefully took the pet away from her.
The woman transported the dog, whose name was Onyx, to a white car that was being operated by another individual.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the car's hood and clung tightly as it raced through a bustling street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the incident to CBS News, stating that he firmly held onto the car's windshield wipers and refused to let go. Without realizing it, the car started moving down the street and gaining speed, causing Zacharias to become terrified for his life.
There is also a widely shared video that captures the incident, which shows Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
In her TikTok video, Zacharias recounted the incident where a man pulled the leash of her dog, making her think he just wanted to sniff something. She let go of the leash, but then she noticed a woman holding her dog and walking away. Concerned, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and firmly stated that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. Instead of stopping, the car continued to drive towards her, causing her to fall onto the hood. Undeterred, Zacharias refused to leave and insisted that she wouldn't until they returned her dog. Eventually, the individuals in the car drove away.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her cute puppy did not succeed. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car suddenly veered and she was thrown off, resulting in minor injuries like cuts and bruises. However, Onyx, her puppy, is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness in whatever activity I am engaged in, as I wish I could be doing it with Onyx or that he could be experiencing it too. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. It's astonishing how fast time has flown by. It feels like this situation just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department. They are actively looking into the matter and are also examining security footage as part of their
