In Los Angeles, California, a brave woman took extreme actions to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident occurred outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman went up to Ali Zacharias, who was walking her dog, and suddenly grabbed the pet away from her.
The woman transported Onyx, a dog, to a white car that was being operated by another person.
With great bravery, Zacharias was determined to stop the thieves from escaping with Onyx. Without hesitation, she leaped onto the car's hood and tightly held on as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted his experience, stating that he was determined not to release his grip on the car. He held onto the windshield wipers tightly as the vehicle accelerated and they traveled further down the street. In that moment, he felt a surge of fear for his life.
A viral video capturing the incident features Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounts the incident in a TikTok video where she explains that when her dog pulled the leash, she initially thought he just wanted to go sniff something, so she let go. However, to her surprise, a woman appeared and took hold of her dog, walking away with him. In an attempt to stop them, Zacharias stood in front of the car and firmly stated that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. Despite her protest, they deliberately drove into her, causing her to fall onto the car's hood. Even after the fall, Zacharias refused to give up and declared that she wouldn't leave without her dog. However, the individuals in the car ignored her pleas and drove away.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her beloved puppy did not succeed. She managed to hold on for a short distance, but the car suddenly changed direction and caused her to be thrown off, resulting in minor injuries such as cuts and bruises. Sadly, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in any activity, as I wish I could do it alongside Onyx or that he could be a part of it. For example, even when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. It's surprising how time has flown by so quickly. It feels like this just happened, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
As per CBS, the Los Angeles Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the crime, which involves examining security footage.
