In a courageous act, a woman in Los Angeles, California went to extreme lengths to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, there was an incident that took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket. During this incident, a woman approached Ali Zacharias, who was with her dog, and forcefully took the pet away from
The woman picked up the dog, who goes by the name Onyx, and took him to a white car that was being driven by another person.
Fearless and determined, Zacharias was determined not to let the thieves escape with Onyx. Without hesitation, she leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through the crowded streets of Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted how he refused to release his grip on the car's windshield wipers, determined not to let go. Unbeknownst to him, the car started moving down the street, gradually gaining speed, and he found himself in a state of extreme panic and fear for his life. This account was shared by Zacharias in an interview with CBS News.
The incident was captured in a viral video that shows Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News in a TikTok video, explaining that when her dog pulled on the leash, she assumed he just wanted to go smell something, so she let go. However, she then noticed a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. Zacharias confronted the woman, standing in front of her car and insisting that she couldn't leave because she had her dog. Instead of stopping, the woman continued to drive towards Zacharias, eventually hitting her and causing her to fall onto the hood of the car. Despite the impact, Zacharias refused to give up and declared that she wouldn't leave until her dog was returned to her. The individuals in the car ignored her pleas and drove away.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her cute dog were unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the vehicle suddenly changed direction, causing her to be thrown off and resulting in minor injuries such as cuts and bruises. Unfortunately, Onyx is still not found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in any activity, as I realize that I am not able to do it with Onyx or that he is not able to experience it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I find myself thinking that I am not buying anything for him. It's astonishing how quickly time has passed. It feels like this situation just occurred, and yet it has already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, who are actively looking into the matter, which includes the examination of security footage.
