In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car after someone stole her cherished French bulldog. She took extreme action to rescue her beloved pet.
On January 18, there was an incident outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman came up to Ali Zacharias, who was walking her dog, and forcefully took the pet from her.
The woman carried a dog named Onyx and placed it inside a white car, which was being driven by another person.
Showing great bravery, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. Without hesitation, he leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through the bustling streets of Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the experience to CBS News, explaining that when the car started moving, he refused to let go and held onto the windshield wipers. As they continued driving down the street and gaining speed, he became terrified for his life.
A video capturing the event has become extremely popular online, displaying Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
In recounting the incident in a TikTok video, Zacharias explained to NBC News that when her dog pulled the leash, she initially thought he just wanted to go smell something, so she let go. However, she soon noticed a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. Determined to retrieve her dog, Zacharias stood in front of the car and insisted that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. Despite her protest, the individuals in the car drove into her, causing her to fall onto the hood. Undeterred, she remained on the hood, declaring that she wouldn't leave until they returned her dog. Eventually, they drove off with her dog still in their possession.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her cute puppy were unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the vehicle abruptly changed direction, causing her to fall off and sustain minor injuries. Currently, Onyx, her puppy, is still not found.
"No matter what I'm doing, I can't help but feel sad that Onyx isn't here with me or experiencing it. For instance, when I go grocery shopping, I think about how I'm not buying anything for him. It's unbelievable how time has flown by. It feels like this just occurred, but it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in investigating the crime and is specifically looking into the security footage as part of their investigation, as reported by CBS
