In Los Angeles, California, a brave woman went to great lengths to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident occurred outside of a Whole Foods supermarket where a lady approached Ali Zacharias, who was walking her dog, and suddenly took the pet away from her.
The woman lifted the dog named Onyx and took him to a white car that was being driven by another person.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. Without hesitation, she leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly while it raced through a bustling street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted that he was determined to not release his grip on the car, so he tightly held onto the windshield wipers. Without realizing it, they started driving down the street and gaining speed, causing Zacharias to become extremely frightened for his life.
Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood was captured in a video that has gained widespread attention.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News in a TikTok video, explaining that when he tugged on the leash, she initially thought he just wanted to go smell something, so she let go. However, she soon realized that a woman had taken hold of her dog and was walking away with him. Determined not to let them leave with her dog, Zacharias positioned herself in front of their car and demanded that they return her pet. Instead of complying, the individuals in the car drove towards her, causing her to fall onto the hood of their vehicle. Despite this, she remained steadfast, declaring that she would not leave until her dog was returned. Eventually, they drove away, still with her dog.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save his cute dog was unsuccessful. He managed to hold on for a short distance, but then the car suddenly veered, causing him to be thrown off and sustaining minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Currently, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in any activity, as I realize that Onyx is not here with me or experiencing it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. It's surprising how quickly time has passed, as it feels like this just occurred. Yet, it has already been 10 days," she expressed.
CBS has reported that the Los Angeles Police Department is currently involved in an ongoing investigation of the crime. This investigation includes the examination of security camera footage.
