6 Haunting Last Performances: Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Daryle Singletary + More
George Jones was aware that his last concert was approaching. On the other hand, Daryle Singletary was not aware, which added to the eerie feeling of the song he chose to close the night.
Following Merle Haggard's passing, a story circulated about Toby Keith assisting him in exiting the stage gracefully. However, this was found to be false as Keith was not present at Haggard's last performance, nor was the person who spread the misinformation.
In reality, actor W. Earl Brown was not present at the concert where Keith assisted Haggard. He only learned about it afterwards.

Taste of Country found a review of what may have been Haggard's last concert and found a special moment that deserved just as much recognition as the Toby Keith hero story. This is one of six memories from his final concert that are shared in the video and pictures.
The video includes John Denver's final performance, Johnny Cash's last song, and Waylon Jennings' made-for-TV farewell.
We really enjoy the Singletary performance. If you know the song "Old Violin" by Johnny Paycheck, you'll recognize the emotion he put into it. If you're not familiar with the song, make sure to continue watching.
