The last performances of Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Daryle Singletary, and others were chilling. While George Jones was aware that it was his last concert, Daryle Singletary was not, adding an eerie quality to the song he selected to close the night.
Following the passing of Merle Haggard, a story circulated claiming that Toby Keith assisted him in exiting the stage gracefully during his last performance. However, this story turned out to be false as Keith was not present at Haggard's final show. The individual who spread this misinformation was also not in attendance.
In reality, the actor W. Earl Brown was not present at the event where Keith helped Haggard finish. He only found out about it later.

Taste of Country found a review of what could be considered Haggard's last concert and found a touching moment that deserves just as much recognition as the Toby Keith hero story. This moment is one of six final concert memories shared in the video and images provided above.
The video contains the last performance by John Denver, Johnny Cash's final song, and Waylon Jennings' made-for-TV farewell performance, adding a bittersweet touch.
We really enjoy the Singletary performance the most out of all. If you know the song "Old Violin" by Johnny Paycheck, you'll understand the emotion and passion he puts into it. If you're not familiar with the song, make sure to keep watching to appreciate it.
