The music video for Jon Pardi and Luke Bryan's new duet "Cowboys and Plowboys" features some special guest stars alongside the two main artists. The familiar faces in the video add an extra element of excitement and interest.
Both singers featured their significant others in their music videos. Bryan and his wife Caroline Boyer are seen embracing in a field and watching the sunset together. Pardi is shown twirling his wife Summer on a dance floor, and also holding his young daughter Presley while they ride horses together.
Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the music video for "Cowboys and Plowboys" because the song reflects their personal backgrounds. Pardi, who is from the West Coast, portrays the cowboy while Bryan, who comes from a family of peanut farmers, represents the plowboy. The video serves as a semi-autobiographical depiction of the two singers' roots.
Pardi mentioned to Taste of Country Nights that he and Luke both feel that the song was meant for them to perform together. The song revolves around the theme of cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have a history of involving their family members in their music videos. Bryan included his wife and mother in the music video for his song "One Margarita" in 2020, which had a beach theme. On the other hand, Pardi featured his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, in the music video for his song "Tequila Little Time" in 2021.
Pardi's latest music release, "Cowboys and Plowboys," is his first since his Mr. Saturday Night album in 2022, excluding a Christmas album released last year. He and his wife Summer had their first child, Presley, in February and have revealed that they are expecting their second child, a girl, in July.
