Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the music video for "Cowboys and Plowboys" because the song reflects their personal backgrounds. Pardi, who is from the West Coast, portrays the cowboy while Bryan, who comes from a family of peanut farmers, plays the plowboy.
Pardi mentioned that both he and Luke felt that the song was meant for them to sing together. He explained during an interview with Taste of Country Nights that the song is about cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have a history of including family members in their music videos. Bryan featured his wife and mom in the video for his 2020 song "One Margarita," which had a beach theme. Pardi, on the other hand, had his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, as a co-star in the music video for his 2021 song "Tequila Little Time."
Pardi's latest music release, "Cowboys and Plowboys," is his first since his Mr. Saturday Night album in 2022, excluding a Christmas album released last fall. He and his wife Summer had their first child, Presley, in February, and they have announced that they are expecting their second child, another girl, in July.
