Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to make sense of a tumultuous week that involved being arrested for assault.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude to friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Update: Chris Young has been found innocent of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville
Young expressed gratitude for the support he received from friends and fans who reassured him that they believed in him and did not think he was responsible for the situation.
"It is a relief to see the charges being dropped. Going through a situation like that is something I wouldn't want anyone to experience. However, the silver lining was the overwhelming love and support I received."
The event occurred at a restaurant called the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.
The security camera footage captures Young behaving calmly before he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to lose his balance and fall backwards into the bar.
"I'm still trying to make sense of the false accusations and events that happened last week," Young says at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The new album "Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and have a great time. I value you, I care for you, and I am grateful," Young expresses.
