  • by

Chris Young has spoken to his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with a tumultuous week that involved being arrested on assault charges.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude to his friends and fans who supported him during his time in jail on the night of Jan. 22.

Update: Chris Young has been found innocent of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville

In the video, Young expresses how much it meant to him to have friends and fans support him and believe in his innocence despite the accusations.

"It was a relief to see the charges being dropped. Going through something like that is never pleasant. However, the silver lining was the overwhelming love and support that was shown."

The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville's downtown area.

In the security camera footage, Young appears to be acting calmly before he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to stumble backwards into the bar and fall down.

"I'm still trying to make sense of the false accusations and events that unfolded over the past week," Young mentions at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the support from fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.

The new release "Double Down" is set to be available this Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.

"Turn up the volume and savor the moment. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I want to express my thanks," Young expresses.
