Chris Young recently spoke to his fans for the first time after facing arrest and having the charges against him dropped. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with the events of the past week, which involved allegations of assault.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Chris Young has been found not guilty of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.
In the video, Young expresses how much it meant to him to have friends and fans show their support and belief in him by saying "we got you, we don’t believe you did any of this."
"It was a relief to see the charges being dropped. Going through such a situation is something I wouldn't want anyone to experience. However, the positive aspect was witnessing the overwhelming love and support from others."
The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.
In the security camera footage, Young appears calm before he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by gesturing with his arm. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to stagger backwards into the bar and fall down.
Young explains in the video that he is still coming to terms with the false accusations and events of the past week. He mentions that the support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album earlier than planned.
A new album called "Double Down" will be released this Friday at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and have a good time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I want to express my thanks," Young states.
