Chris Young Opens Up to Fans After Arrest and Dropped Charges: “The Bright Spot Was Seeing All the Love and Support

Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since being arrested and having the charges against him dropped. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with the events of the past week, which involved accusations of assault.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.

Young expressed how much it meant to him to have friends and fans support him and tell him they believe in his innocence.

"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. No one should have to experience something like that. However, the positive aspect was witnessing the overwhelming love and support from others."

The event occurred at a bar called the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.

Surveillance footage captures Young appearing composed before attempting to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by gesturing towards him. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to stagger backwards into the bar and ultimately fall down.

"I'm still trying to make sense of the false accusations and events that happened last week," Young mentions at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the encouragement from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.

The new album "Double Down" will be released at midnight on Friday, February 2nd.

"Turn up the volume, have a good time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I appreciate you," Young expresses.
