Chris Young Opens Up to Fans After Arrest and Dropped Charges: “The Bright Spot Was Seeing All the Love and Support

Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent charges being dropped. He mentioned that he is still trying to understand and come to terms with the events of the past week, which included his arrest on assault charges.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed gratitude on social media towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.

"It was incredibly meaningful to me, as I had numerous friends and supporters who reached out to express their belief in my innocence and offer their support," Young shares in the video.

"It's really heartwarming to see the charges being dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what happened. However, the silver lining was the overwhelming love and support that was shown."

The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the city center of Nashville.

The security camera footage depicts Young remaining composed before he tries to grab the Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent's attention by reaching out his arm. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to trip backwards into the bar and fall down.

Young mentioned in the video that he is still trying to understand and come to terms with the false accusations and events that occurred in the past week. He also mentioned that the support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album earlier than planned.

"Double Down" will be released this Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.

"Turn up the volume and have a good time. I am grateful for you, I care for you, and I want to say thank you," Young expresses.
