Chris Young Opens Up to Fans After Arrest and Dropped Charges: “The Bright Spot was Seeing All the Love and Support

Chris Young recently spoke to his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with a tumultuous week, which involved being arrested on assault charges.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude to friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.

In the video, Young expresses how much it meant to her to have friends and fans support her and tell her they don't believe she did anything wrong.

"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. No one should have to experience something like that. The positive aspect was the overwhelming love and support shown."

The situation occurred at a bar called the Dawg House located in the central area of Nashville.

The security camera footage captures Young acting calmly before trying to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by extending his arm. In response, the agent pushes Young, causing him to stumble backwards into the bar and fall over.

"I'm still trying to understand and deal with the false accusations and events from the past week," Young mentions at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the encouragement from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album earlier than planned.

"Double Down" will be released on Friday at midnight.

"Turn up the volume, savor the moment. I am grateful for you, I care for you, and I appreciate you," Young expresses.
