Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and the subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with the events of the past week, which involved accusations of assault.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Update: Chris Young has been found not guilty of all charges following his arrest at a Nashville bar
In the video, Young expresses how much it meant to him to have friends and fans support him and assure him that they do not believe he did any of the things he was accused of.
"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. No one should have to experience something like that. The positive part was the overwhelming love and support that was shown."
The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville's downtown area.
Footage from a security camera captures Young appearing calm as he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to stagger back into the bar and ultimately fall down.
Young mentions in the video that he is still dealing with the aftermath of false accusations and events from the previous week. However, he shares that the support from his fans has motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The album "Double Down" will be released at midnight on Friday, February 2nd.
"Turn up the volume and have a great time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I want to say thank you," Young expresses.
