Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with a tumultuous week that involved being taken into custody for assault allegations.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Update: Chris Young has been acquitted of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.
In the video, Young expresses how much it meant to him to have friends and fans show their support and believe in him, despite the accusations.
"It's a relief to see the charges dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to have to experience that. However, I was grateful for the love and support shown during that time."
The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville's downtown area.
In the security camera footage, Young is seen remaining composed before trying to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to stagger backwards into the bar and fall down.
Young expressed that he is still trying to come to terms with the false accusations and events that occurred in the past week. He mentions in the video that the support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album earlier than planned.
The new album "Double Down" will be released this Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and have a good time. I am grateful for you, I care for you, and I want to thank you," Young expresses.
