Chris Young Opens Up to Fans: Reflects on Arrest and Dropped Charges, Thanks Supporters

  • by

Chris Young has recently addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with the events of the past week, which included being arrested on assault charges.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed gratitude on social media to friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.

Chris Young has been acquitted of all charges after being arrested at a bar in Nashville.

In the video, Young expresses how much it meant to him to have friends and fans supporting him and telling him they believe in his innocence.

"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. The positive aspect was the overwhelming love and support I received."

The event occurred at a bar called the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.

Footage from a security camera captures Young behaving calmly before he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to stagger backwards into the bar and fall down.

Young expresses that he is still trying to make sense of the false accusations and events that occurred over the past week. Towards the end of the video, he shares that the encouragement and support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.

The new song "Double Down" will be released this Friday at midnight.

"Turn up the volume and have a good time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and thank you," Young expresses.
