Chris Young Reflects on Arrest and Dropped Charges, Thanks Fans for Support

  • by

Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time following his arrest and subsequent dropped charges for assault. He mentioned that he is still coming to terms with the events of the past week.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of January 22.

Chris Young has been found not guilty of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.

In the video, Young expressed how much it meant to him to have many friends and fans support him and believe in his innocence.

"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. Going through something like that is not something I would want anyone to experience. However, the positive aspect was seeing the overwhelming love and support."

The event occurred at a restaurant called the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.

The security camera footage captures Young behaving calmly before he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to stagger backwards into the bar and fall down.

Young expresses that he is still dealing with the aftermath of false accusations and events from the past week at the beginning of the video. However, he ends by sharing that the encouragement and support from fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.

The release of "Double Down" is scheduled for this Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.

"Turn up the volume and have a great time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I want to say thank you," Young expresses.
