The music video for the duet "Cowboys and Plowboys" by Luke Bryan and Jon Pardi features some special guest stars alongside the two main artists. The familiar faces in the video add an extra element of excitement and steal the spotlight.
Each singer featured their significant other in their music videos. Bryan is seen with his wife, Caroline Boyer, enjoying a sunset in a field. Pardi is shown spinning his wife, Summer, on a dance floor, and holding his daughter, Presley, while on horseback in another scene.
It is understandable why Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the music video for "Cowboys and Plowboys." The song provides a glimpse into the personal backgrounds of the two singers, with Pardi portraying the cowboy and Bryan coming from a family of peanut farmers, making him the plowboy.
Pardi explained to Taste of Country Nights that both he and Luke felt that the song was perfect for them to sing together. The song is about cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have experience involving their family members in their music videos. Bryan had his wife and mother appear in the music video for his song "One Margarita" which was centered around the beach in 2020. On the other hand, Pardi featured his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, in the music video for his 2021 song "Tequila Little Time."
"Pardi's latest release, "Cowboys and Plowboys," is his first new music since his album Mr. Saturday Night in 2022, not including a Christmas album released last year. He and his wife Summer welcomed their daughter Presley in February of last year, and have announced they are expecting their second child, another girl, due in July."
