The music video for the duet "Cowboys and Plowboys" by Luke Bryan and Jon Pardi features some special guest stars who make an appearance alongside the two main artists. These familiar faces in the video add an extra element of excitement and interest for viewers.
Both singers included their partners in their music videos. In one scene, Bryan and his wife Caroline Boyer, who have been married for 17 years, are seen cuddling in a field as they watch the sunset. Pardi is also seen spinning his wife Summer around a dance floor in another scene, and holding his almost-one-year-old daughter Presley while they sit together on horseback in a third scene.
It is understandable why Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the music video for "Cowboys and Plowboys." The song gives a glimpse into the personal backgrounds of the two artists, with Pardi representing the cowboy and Bryan coming from a family of peanut farmers, portraying the plowboy.
Pardi expressed that he and Luke both felt that the song was meant for them to sing together when discussing the release with Taste of Country Nights. The song focuses on the theme of cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have a history of including their family members in their music videos. Bryan featured his wife and mother in the video for his song "One Margarita" in 2020, which had a beach theme. On the other hand, Pardi included his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, in the video for his song "Tequila Little Time" in 2021.
Pardi's latest release, "Cowboys and Plowboys," is his first new music since his album Mr. Saturday Night in 2022, not including a Christmas album released last year. He and his wife Summer had a baby named Presley in February and have revealed they are expecting their second child, a girl, in July.
