Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, 42, prefers to be called a cowboy rather than a farmer because he is a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Roping and riding are ingrained in his family history, as he has been involved in these activities since childhood. Ferrell, who is one of the older farmers on the show, is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a great mother to his child.
Mitchell Kolinsky, a 27-year-old farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, is the first in his family to pursue farming. His expansive land is home to various wildlife and a historic cabin from the 19th century, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's upbringing around horses and love for the outdoors inspired him to start a farming career. He currently manages his own farm, raising horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, manages a farm in Center, Colorado that spans 1,000 acres and grows potatoes and barley. The town he resides in is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by agricultural land. He comes from a family of farmers and grew up helping his father on the farm. Rogers is now carrying on the family business and aims to uphold the legacy that his father began.
Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old farmer from Bartow, Florida, comes from a long line of farmers who have worked with citrus and cattle. He manages a large property with 300 acres of farmland and 500 acres for raising cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has shown maturity and responsibility since his father passed away when he was 12. He now helps take care of his mother and three sisters.
