Bryan and Pardi decided to feature their families in the music video for "Cowboys and Plowboys" because the song reflects aspects of their own lives. Pardi, originally from the West Coast, portrays the cowboy, while Bryan, whose family are peanut farmers, embodies the plowboy.
Pardi expressed that he and Luke both felt that the song was perfect for them to sing together. He mentioned to Taste of Country Nights that the song is centered around cowboys and farmers.

Pardi released his new song "Cowboys and Plowboys" as his first new music since his Mr. Saturday Night album in 2022, excluding a Christmas album released last fall. He and his wife Summer had their first child, Presley, in February and have now announced they are expecting their second child, another girl, in July.
