However, the interesting part is that every farmer will choose five women from a group of 29 to come and live with them on their farm. This experience will allow the women to fully understand the responsibilities of being a farmer's wife.
Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife introduces viewers to Ty Ferrell, a 42-year-old man from Sikeston, Missouri. He identifies more as a cowboy than a farmer, as he specializes in team roping on his 50-acre farm with horses and cattle. Ty has a passion for roping and riding that he has carried since childhood. As one of the older farmers on the show, Ty is a divorced father to a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a caring mother figure for his child.
At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a new farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. He comes from a family that did not have a background in farming. On his large property, there is abundant wildlife and a historical cabin from the 19th century where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky was raised around horses and enjoyed being outdoors, which inspired him to pursue a career in agriculture. Today, he is the proud owner of his own farm, which includes both horses and cattle.
At 29 years old, Brandon Rogers runs a farm in Center, Colorado that spans 1,000 acres and grows potatoes and barley. The town he resides in is tiny, with just one stoplight, and is encompassed by farmland. As the son of a farmer, Rogers grew up helping out on the farm alongside his father. He is now carrying on the family business and aims to uphold the legacy that his dad began.
Nathan Smothers, who is 23 years old, comes from a long line of farmers and has a strong connection to farming. He is a fourth-generation farmer who specializes in citrus and cattle farming in Bartow, Florida. His property is extensive, with 300 acres used for farming and over 500 acres dedicated to raising cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers is mature and responsible. He had to take on more responsibilities at a young age after losing his father when he was 12, stepping up to help care for his mother and three sisters.
The second season of "Farmer Wants a Wife" will debut on Fox on Thursday, February 1st at 9 PM ET.
