Country music star Reba McEntire did not win a chili cookoff judged by Rex Linn, despite being in a cute relationship with him. Their competitiveness in cook-off contests shows they don't go easy on each other.
McEntire recently took part in a Hillbilly Chili Cookoff, where Linn served as one of the judges. Despite their personal relationship, it did not influence the judging process in her favor.
McEntire actually finished in last place. As a result, she received a humorous trophy as a prize: a chili pepper being flushed down a toilet.
Always willing to have a good time, McEntire posted a video on social media of her participation in a cookoff where she didn't win, showing her gracefully taking the last place with a positive attitude.

In a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, McEntire talked about her unsuccessful chili cookoff experience and shared that she has a good understanding of what went awry.
"I realized that I forgot to add any spices," she confessed. "But I added chili powder and hatch green chilis, thinking it would make the dish flavorful. I was following a recipe from Texas and was really looking forward to how it would turn out."
Despite being Linn's girlfriend, she still ended up in last place. However, McEntire believes that her relationship with Linn may have helped soften the blow when the judges announced the news.
During the competition, Rex, one of the judges, approached me and quietly informed me that I did not win. He expressed his apologies and confirmed that I was not the winner.
"Then he gave me the award, which turned out to be a chili pepper in a toilet. So I ended up receiving something unexpected," McEntire explains.
Setting humor aside, McEntire also discussed her connection with Linn and the reasons behind its success. The two have been acquainted for a long time, meeting in 1991 during the filming of The Gambler Returns starring Kenny Rogers. However, it wasn't until they reconnected in 2020 that they felt a romantic spark. During the interim, McEntire was married to her husband Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son named Shelby.
I once inquired with Rex about why we didn't meet sooner, and he mentioned that one reason could be my previous marriage. Rex is very energetic and fun, while I have become more relaxed over time. It seems like we have crossed paths at the perfect moment in our lives.
Following this, McEntire will be traveling to Las Vegas to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Additionally, she is working on a new television show that will involve reuniting with some of the crew members from her popular series, Reba.
