Reba McEntire came in last place in a chili cookoff that was judged by Rex Linn. Despite being a cute couple, they are competitive when it comes to cook-off contests.
McEntire recently took part in a Hillbilly Chili Cookoff where Linn served as one of the judges. Despite their personal relationship, McEntire did not receive any special treatment during the judging.
McEntire actually finished in last place. As a result, she received a humorous trophy, which was a chili pepper going down a toilet.
McEntire, always a good sport, posted a video on her social media of her unsuccessful cookoff experience. The video included a moment where she gracefully accepted coming in last place.

In a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, McEntire talked about her unsuccessful experience at a chili cookoff and acknowledged that she has a good understanding of what went awry.
"I forgot to add any spices," she confesses. "But I added chili powder and hatch green chilis, thinking it would be enough. It was a recipe from Texas that got me really excited."
Despite being Linn's girlfriend, it didn't prevent her from ending up in last place. However, McEntire believes that her relationship with Linn may have helped soften the disappointment when the judges announced the results.
During the event, Rex, one of the judges, approached me and quietly informed me of the outcome. He expressed his regret and then told me that I did not win.
"Then he gave me the award, which turned out to be a chili pepper in the toilet. So I ended up throwing it away," McEntire explains.
Setting jokes aside, McEntire discussed her connection with Linn and the reasons behind its success. The pair has been acquainted for a long time, having first met in 1991 during the filming of The Gambler Returns alongside Kenny Rogers. However, their romantic relationship only blossomed when they reconnected in 2020. Prior to this, McEntire was married to her husband Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son named Shelby.
During a conversation with Rex, McEntire pondered why they didn't connect sooner. Rex pointed out that one reason may have been McEntire's previous marriage. McEntire describes Rex as fun and energetic, while she feels she has become more relaxed. She believes they have crossed paths at the perfect moment.
Following this, McEntire will be going to Las Vegas to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Additionally, she is working on a new television show that will involve collaborating with some of the individuals who previously worked on her popular series, Reba.
