Country music star Reba McEntire placed last in a chili cookoff judged by actor Rex Linn. Despite being a cute couple, Reba and Rex do not show each other any favoritism in cooking competitions.
McEntire recently took part in a competition called the Hillbilly Chili Cookoff, where Linn served as one of the judges. Despite their personal connection, McEntire did not receive any special treatment during the judging.
McEntire actually finished in last place in the competition. As a result, she was given a humorous trophy as a consolation prize: a chili pepper being flushed down a toilet.
Always willing to have fun, McEntire posted a video on social media of her unsuccessful cooking competition, where she can be seen gracefully accepting her last place finish.

In a recent online appearance on CBS Mornings, McEntire talked about her unsuccessful chili cookoff experience and acknowledged that she has a good understanding of what went awry.
"I accidentally forgot to add any spices," she confesses. "But I added chili powder and hatch green chilis, thinking it would be enough. It was a recipe from Texas and I was really excited about it."
Even though Linn's relationship with McEntire didn't help her avoid being in last place, McEntire believes that it may have softened the disappointment when the judges announced the results.
During the competition, a judge named Rex approached me and quietly revealed that I did not win. I asked him if he could tell me who the winner was, to which he responded with apologies and confirmed that it was not me.
"After he gave me the award, it turned out to be a chili pepper in the toilet. So, I ended up throwing it away," McEntire explained.
Setting jokes aside, McEntire also discussed her connection with Linn and what makes their relationship successful. They have been acquainted for a long time, meeting in 1991 during the filming of The Gambler Returns starring Kenny Rogers, but they did not develop romantic feelings for each other until they reconnected in 2020. Prior to this, McEntire was married to her husband Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son named Shelby.
During a conversation with Rex, McEntire wondered why they hadn't gotten together sooner. Rex pointed out that one reason could be that she was previously married. McEntire described Rex as fun and energetic, while she has become more mellow. She believes that they have met at the perfect time in their lives.
Following this, McEntire will be traveling to Las Vegas to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Additionally, she is working on a new comedy show that will involve collaborating with some of the same people who were involved in her popular TV show, Reba.
